Is Online Arts Education a University, College or School?
We are a non-traditional global place of learning. All our courses are created by professional academics and teachers with years of classroom experience. Who writes these courses?
Karin Merx, BMus, MA, and Elizabeth Amisu, PGCE, MA, have written several books, thirty years of teaching practice between them. Together, they co-created an academic journal, The Journal of Michael Jackson Academic Studies, a ground-breaking academic journal, and a universally acclaimed podcast, Michael Jackson’s Dream Lives On: An Academic Conversation. Karin’s background in classical music, academic research and art, and Elizabeth’s years of Further Education teaching and academic research mean that all their courses are made with passion and enthusiasm.
Why are your courses so affordable?
We are a completely independent online learning platform, which means we can put all the costs of running a physical school into providing an exciting digital program for our learners. We believe education needs to be accessible for everyone, that’s why the first lesson of all our courses is completely free, and every single course debuts with a huge introductory discount!
How do I pay for my course?

How do I access the courses I’ve paid for?

How do I track/log my progress?
Underneath each lesson is a ‘Lesson Completed’ check-box. Marking each check-box will notify Online Arts Education that you have completed your lesson.
Why don’t you use a grading system?
We believe in learning for fun. We want people who take our courses to enjoy and be able to access learning in a stress-free way. We also believe that although often necessary for professional qualifications, that the true measure of learning is personal expansion and joy. We hope to attract students who desire to learn new skills and explore their own ideas. We love to share our passion for learning and life, and that’s what matters most here.
